MOB and the fourth generation of cable car

I offer my congratulations on the launch of the Group of 100 Devotees of Koyasan and Kumano. It is a great honor to have been chosen for inclusion amongst such distinguished members representing a diversity of fields.
In October 2017, Nankai Electric Railway signed a sister railway agreement with Montreux–Oberland Bernois(MOB) railway in Switzerland, which has three major limited express sightseeing trains running between Montreux and Zweisimmen stations, and one of these trains is wrapped in Koyasan -inspired designs.
Also, in March 2019, the Koyasan -inspired designs which began operating in 1930 was updated for the first time in almost half a century. The new, fourth-generation car was manufactured by CWA in Switzerland.
The profile of Koyasan and Kumano as international sightseeing destinations is rapidly growing. At Nankai Electric Railway, we will continue to work hard to communicate the appeal of Koyasan and Kumano in order to foster excitement and expectation amongst our customers.
